LETTER FROM SECRETARY GENERAL

Welcome!

On behalf of our academic and organization teams, It is a great honor and pleasure to host you at the Istanbul Ticaret University Moot Court Conference, which we organized for the second time this year.

Moot court, as an extracurricular method, is an event held in all the leading law schools in the world, mostly in the United States, and within the framework of several large organizations internationally. In addition, university students and prestigious law clubs around the world organize a more local version of this conference.

While emphasizing the importance of making our university years count, I would like to express that the achievements we have made here today; will be our greatest source of strength in illuminating the path of justice. For this reason, it is vital that every knowledge learned in the law faculty is supported by extracurricular activities and thoroughly assimilated by the lawyers of the future.

At this point, it is our great pleasure as a team to provide you, with an atmosphere where you can practice in both national and international law at this conference. Because soon you will make a judgment in national and international courts as a judge, prosecutor or lawyer and you will write a judgment.  Who knows, maybe you will do the same in real courts in the future.

We have prepared four courts for you at our conference. These are; European Court of Human Rights, International Chamber of Commerce, T.C. Ağır Ceza Mahkemesi and Ulusal Tahkim Yargılaması.

At least but not least, those four courts were prepared after the hard work of our team. I would like to thank to both the academic and the organization team who brought this conference up in a short time.

I wish you all have a tremendous time fuelled by knowledge, new experiences and fruitful debates filled with unforgettable memories!
